Heterotrophic nutrition is a mode of nutrition where organisms directly or indirectly depend on autotrophs for food. They are called as Heterotrophs. The term ‘heterotroph’ consists of two words ‘hetero’ and ‘troph’. ‘Hetero’ means ‘others’ and ‘troph’ means ‘nutrition’. We will be learning more about this type of nutrition in this lesson.,
